Connect
I begin with understanding, context and relationships.
Includes:
- Tailored curriculum plans around concepts for inclusivity
- Makaton and communication strategies
- Model resources and planning tools, ready for daily use
- Actionable feedback and practical activities/resources
Assess
I look at strengths, needs and challenges using observation and data.
Includes:
- Gathering evidence based on strategies to support writing EHCPs for local authority approval
- Writing and reviewing IEPs and other key plans
- Observation, assessment visits, and progress tracking
Reflect
I develop tailored strategies and staff training through collaborative thinking.
Includes:
- One-to-one SENDco mentoring and leadership coaching
- Team check-ins or reflective supervision
- 1:1 Staff support on inclusive teaching, planning and managing behaviour
Empower
I implement the plan, support ongoing growth, and provide guided encouragement.
Includes:
- Preparation sessions for Ofsted or local reviews
- Supporting documentation for Ofsted
- Continued support for implementation and next steps
1:1 Coaching and mentoring
In the busy world of education, it’s easy for SENCOs, managers, and practitioners to put others first. But leading with clarity, confidence, and inclusion starts when you have space to reflect on your own practice. My 1:1 mentoring and coaching sessions offer a safe, supportive environment where you can pause, reset, and find solutions with someone who understands the challenges of inclusive teaching and leadership.
Each session includes:

✔ Wellbeing and workload check-in
✔ Support with inclusive planning & curriculum design
✔ Guidance on managing behaviour and promoting positive relationships
✔ Leadership development and confidence-building
✔ Reflections on successes and areas for growth
